I am a transportation planner and social science researcher.
I’m a social science researcher specializing in travel behavior, health-oriented transportation, and econometrics. I have an interdisciplinary background in urban design, planning, and geography.
My research focuses on investigating the impact of transport policies and investments on travel behavior and exploring human-centered interventions to nudge travel behavior toward sustainable transportation that improves public health.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am currently working as a transportation planner at the California Department of Transportation, and found a passion in aviation system planning and advanced air mobility.
I’m always busy with many hobbies! I’m a pianist by training and performed in several concerts during college. Music is forevet a part of my life. Before COVID, I practiced boxing for five years, and since 2023, I’ve been bouldering to stay fit. Most importantly, I’m a competitive tennis player, and my goal is to bring home the championship trophy at the next tournament!
Correct pronunciation of my name: "eat-song" 😀
